도스 시절엔 엠(M) 유틸리티가 있어야 컴퓨터가 돌아가는줄 아는 사람들이 많을 정도로 필수 유틸리티였다. 윈도우로 오면서는 토털커맨더라는 유틸리티 프로그램이 그 자리를 대신할 만큼 필수 프로그램이 되었다. 하지만 화려하고 사용이 간편한 다른 많은 프로그램들에 밀려서 한동안 기억에서 사라졌던 토털커맨더를 얼마전 다시 설치했다. 단축키는 이미 다 잊었지만 역시 강력한 예전느낌 그대로 였다.
